1. Agreeing to these terms

By installing or using Use Emoji ("the extension"), made by Artyom Shimanski ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

2. What Use Emoji is

Use Emoji is a browser extension with an emoji picker (search and copy any emoji), :emoji: typing on the websites you allow, ready-made kaomoji and symbol codes, and custom codes you create. The picker is free. Typing codes and keeping custom codes come with free tries, and Pro removes those limits.

3. Accounts

An account is only needed for Pro. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live.

4. Pro plans, billing and cancellation

• Pro is sold as a monthly plan, a yearly plan, or a single lifetime payment. Prices are in US dollars unless the checkout shows another currency, and the price shown at checkout is the price charged. A promotion code, where one is offered, is entered at checkout.
• Payments are processed by Stripe on its own checkout page, and by paying you also agree to Stripe's terms. We never see your card details.
• Pro is tied to your account and turns on as soon as the payment goes through, in every browser where you sign in.
• Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Stripe's billing portal, opened from the extension (Settings, Account, Manage subscription); Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
• If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and we email you. Pro stays on until the end of the period already paid for, and stops after that if the payment does not go through.
• Lifetime is a one-time payment for Pro for as long as the extension is offered, including future Pro features, and never renews.
• Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment.
• All payments are final and we do not offer refunds, including for a partly used period, except where the law requires one. If something is not working, write to us: we answer every message.
• We may change prices or plans. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will give reasonable notice before it applies to your next renewal.

5. Using it well

Keep your use of Use Emoji lawful and within the rules of the websites you use it on. Do not try to get around the free limits or Pro checks, resell the service, or interfere with our server or other people's use of it. You are responsible for what you type and post, including what your custom codes insert.

6. Ownership

The extension, its code, design and this website belong to us. Your custom codes are yours. Emoji are Unicode characters, displayed by your device's own emoji font; the picker's emoji data comes from the open-source emoji-mart project. App names and icons shown on this website belong to their owners and appear only to say where Use Emoji works.

7. Other websites

Use Emoji works inside websites run by others (such as Gmail, Slack or Discord). We do not control them, and a change on their side can stop :emoji: typing from working there until we adapt. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

8. No warranty

Use Emoji is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or work on every website.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Use Emoji. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Use Emoji at any time by removing it, and delete your account from its settings. Deleting your account cancels an active subscription straight away and ends Pro, including a lifetime purchase, with no refund; your custom codes stay in your browser. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we ever discontinue the extension, we will give reasonable notice.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell account holders about significant changes. If you keep using Use Emoji after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
